Wilson was heckled at various times throughout the game before being substituted with Chris Streveler in the third quarter, after completing the nine passes of 18, for just 92 yards.

“I don’t blame themfor that,” Wilson told reporters when asked about the fans’ boos. We have a devoted fans and they’re there to witness the team win touchdowns.

“We’re getting no touchdowns We’re not getting first downs We’re not moving the ball, and obviously, we’re not throwing the ball. Naturally, they’ll be annoyed.”

“I was feeling like I wasn’t finding my rhythm,” added Wilson. “I tried to gain some confidence on the field. simply find something that would keep us going with a bit of a spark. I didn’t find anything.”

Jets director of football Robert Saleh decided to replace Wilson with Streveler who had been promoted out of the squad for practice prior to the game on Thursday.

“It’s not just him”

“We aren’t done with seeing the last of Wilson. He’s need to find ways to improve his performance and we’ll have to come up with ways to help him.

“It’s not only him, it’s a collective and we’re all required to figure out ways to become better.”
