The trek’s extensive scope will be launched in April.
Lil Wayne will hit the road this spring for 28 cities on his North American tour dubbed the “Welcome to Tha Carter Tour.”
The run will begin on in April at Fillmore located in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Wayne will travel through across the U.S. and Canada over the next month and a half. The trek will conclude on May 13 at Wiltern located in Los Angeles.
Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, February. 3 on the 3rd of February at 10:30 a.m. in the local time zone on Ticketmaster.com. All details are available on Lil Wayne’s official website.
This Welcome to Tha Carter Tour announcement will be announced just as Lil Wayne prepares to receive an award of distinction during the Recording Academy’s annual Black Music gathering that will be held on February. 2, just three days prior to the 2023 Grammys. Wayne is an eight-time Grammy winner is expected to receive the Global Impact Award, along with two of his most acclaimed colleagues, Missy Elliott and Dr. Dre.
Lil Wayne could add a couple of Grammys to his record in the coming year due to his performance in DJ Khaled’s “God Did.” The song was nominated to three awards that include the Song of the Year, Best Rap Performance and the Best Rap Song.
