Russell Westbrook is doubtful for Friday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers.
The Minnesota Timberwolves will take on the Los Angeles Lakers at the Target Center on Friday night. However, they may be without one of their starters for the game.
According to Underdog NBA, Russell Westbrook, a nine-time NBA All Star, has been listed as questionable.
The Lakers currently stand at 0-4, with losses to the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers, Portland Trail Blazers, Denver Nuggets, and Los Angeles Clippers.
Westbrook was not able to play against the Nuggets Wednesday night.
He is averaging 10.3 point, 6.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game through his first three games.
He is currently playing his second season for the Lakers and the fit has not been great.
Last season, the Lakers finished just 33-49 and were out of the NBA Playoffs (and the play-in tournament).
In 78 games Westbrook averaged 18.5 point, 7.4 rebound and 7.1 assists per game. However, he was blamed for his struggles by both fans and media.
The 2017 NBA MVP may not be as good as he used to be, but the Lakers’ struggles are not his fault.
They are shooting at 41.6% from the line and 22.3% from three-point range as a team.
They look like they might miss the postseason again right now. It will be interesting to see what trades they make.
The Timberwolves enter the game having a record of 3-2 in their five first games of the season.
