3 Dead in Shooting at University of Virginia: After a shooting at University of Virginia, 3 people were killed and 2 others were injured.
Shooting took place on Sunday at 10:30 p.m. in a parking lot behind the Drama building.
UVA confirmed that Christopher Darnell Jones, Jr., the suspect, is a student there.
Jones was listed in 2018 as a member the UVA football team.
Multiple law enforcement agencies are trying to locate him.
Last seen in burgundy jacket, blue jeans and red shoes. He may also be driving a black SUV bearing VA plate number TWX3580.
Jim Ryan, the president of the university, has issued a statement to the UVA community about the tragic shooting.
The victims of this tragedy have not been identified by the university.
Governor Glenn Youngkin released a statement expressing his gratitude to the UVA community.
Monday classes have been cancelled and all are asked to shelter in their place.
