How and where to vote in Covington

If you’re planning to vote in Covington on Tuesday Covington has issued the guidelines for voting for residents.

There are fewer voting places in Covington is lower than in prior years, and several of the previous voting locations have been changed. Each voter has a designated polling place at Election Day, Nov. 8. But, it is possible to cast a vote in other polling places.

“Voters need to be aware of the changes and plan ahead,” Covington City Manager Ken Smith said. “Don’t count on doing what you’ve always done.”

How do I vote?

Covington residents can choose from three methods to vote:

Early in-person voting: 7:15 a.m. until four p.m. on November. 3 4 and 5 at four different locations Two of them in Covington:

Northern Kentucky Convention Center, 1 W. Rivercenter Blvd.

Calvary Baptist Church, 3711 Tibbatts St.

Lakeside Christian Church, 195 Buttermilk Pike, Lakeside Park.

Independence Senior Center, 2001 Jackwoods Parkway, Independence.

Election Day in-person voting: 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. November. 8. Locations for voting assigned (but please refer to the an explanation below):

Covington precincts no. 1, 2, 3, 11: Northern Kentucky Convention Center, 1 W. Rivercenter Blvd.

Covington Precincts: No. 4, 5, 7: Madison Ave. Christian Church, 1530 Madison Ave.

Covington Precincts No. 6, 8, 9, 10: Glenn O. Swing Elementary (gym entry), 5, 8, 9, 10: Glenn O. Swing Elementary (gym entrance), W. 19th St.

Covington Precincts no. 12, 13, 14 15, 15, Calvary Baptist Church (West Southern entrance) 3711 Tibbatts St.

Covington Precincts: No. 16, 17, Taylor Mill Elementary (in the gym) 597 Taylor Mill Road.

If a person doesn’t have their precinct’s number you can get it through the Voter Information Portal selecting the “Track your Ballot/Review your Registration” box, and then typing into your birthday and name.

Notice: Kentucky now requires a paper ballot for each voter.

Residents’ Election Day assigned polling location will come with paper ballots that show the races you’re qualified to cast your vote for. Covington is the City of Covington strongly encourages residents to cast a vote at the polls.

If, however, the resident is not able to vote at the polling place the option is to visit one or the additional Kenton County locations for voting on Election Day and request an ExpressVote Ballot Marker , or go to any of the locations for early voting to receive a ballot printed on demand for the precinct they reside in. The entire list of municipal, county and school board races where Kenton County voters can vote can be found on Kenton County ballot. The ballot that is composite (with all races) is available in the Kenton County composite.
