On Friday, a representative of Ronaldo didn’t disclose the details of the contract..
The 37-year-old is a free agent who was immediately available because of his high-profile split at Manchester United last month, didn’t have to wait until an January window for transfers to start for him to sign for a new contract.
Rumours were circulating since the time he left Manchester that he was in the final stages of signing with a club from Saudi Arabia – something he was previously denying.
A conversation with Piers Morgan of TalkTV published just prior to the opening of World Cup, Ronaldo explained his feelings that United were a travesty to him , and that he had no respect for the manager Erik Ten Hag.
The departure of Ronaldo from United was the catalyst that brought his second time at United to a tense and disappointing conclusion, scoring only one goal in 10- Premier League appearances this season.
He was often employed as a substitute by Ten Hag, and in October did not go on the field against Tottenham Hotspur, instead walking down the tunnel with just a few minutes of the game left.
When he signed with United at the age of 23, Ronaldo transformed himself from an untrained, skilled winger to one of the top players around the world.
He was awarded the three Premier League titles, the FA Cup, two League Cups as well as the Champions League, and the first of his five Ballon d’Or crowns before moving to Real Madrid in 2009.
Ronaldo’s arrival at United from Juventus in the previous season was met with great enthusiasm by United’s fans However, his second stint in the club’s stadium at Old Trafford failed to match the success of his previous stint as United finished the season without any awards.
Despite an unsatisfactory 2022 Qatar World Cup with Portugal, Ronaldo became the first player to score in the five World Cups.
