Des Moines, Iowa — Someone from Washington state beat odds Monday night to claim the estimated 747 million dollars Powerball jackpot.
These winning numbers are 5, 11, 22 and 69, as well as The Powerball 07.
Lottery officials announced in a statement issued early on Tuesday that a single ticket was matched to all six numbers , and was valued at $754.6 million.
The jackpot total is for the winner to choose an annuity that is distributed in a single, immediate payment, followed by further payments over a period of 29 years. These payments grow by 5% each year. The winner can also opt for a single cash payment that is $407.2 million.

The two prizes are amounts prior to tax, Powerball said.
The lottery’s website indicates that the prize for the next drawing , which is scheduled for Thursday night has fallen to $20 million.
The jackpot win on Monday night marked the first Powerball jackpot to be won since November. 19 2022. The streak of inactivity led to the prize growing in size until it was the ninth-largest jackpot in U.S. history.
The higher interest rates have enabled annuity payments to grow as compared to previous jackpots which had lower rates. Many winners prefer an instant cash prize.
The game’s odds of one in 292.2 million is intended to generate huge jackpots which draw more players. It’s certainly been successful recently, as a player in Maine has won the $1.35 billion Mega Millions prize in January and an California player won the world record $2.04 billion Powerball jackpot in November. There has been no claim for any of the prize money.
Powerball is played across 45 states in addition to Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
