John Wick is back in action
The official trailer for John Wick: Chapter 4 has been released. Keanu Reeves plays the gun-fu action hero.
The trailer shows Wick facing Bill Skarsgard’s evil villain, the Marquis de Gramont. He must win in single combat to win his freedom. Wick is ready for the fight like it’s his last, complete with a brand-new suit and a lot of guns. The trailer shows Wick doing what he excels at: killing people in a flashy and jaw-dropping manner. The trailer shows Wick riding a horse through the desert, shooting at people, and then hacking a man with nunchucks. He also appears to be hacking a man with an axe in a nightclub, as well as engaging in a gun-and-sword battle with Donnie Yen.
Reeves is not the only star of “John Wick: Chapter 4”; Skarsgard and Laurence Fishburne are also featured. Also, Rina Sawayama and Shamier Anderson appear in “John Wick” along with Scott Adkins, Scott Adkins, Scott Adkins, and Hiroyuki Sanada. Ian McShane plays Winston, the manager at the Continental Hotel.
Reeves has worked with stuntman-turned-director Chad Stahelski on the “John Wick” franchise since the 2014 original. Reeves last appeared in “John Wick: Chapter 3 Parabellum”, 2019. He is currently in discussions to return to “Ballerina”, starring Ana de Armas.
At the red carpet of “Day Shift”, Stahelski informed Variety that the fourth installment of “John Wick” will explore deeper the mythology surrounding the Continental.
Variety was told by Stahelski that he loves a good myth. “I don’t believe in three-act structures, at least not for ‘John Wick’ films. I believe in storytelling. We’ve always seen John Wick in the role of Odysseus. We take as much time as necessary to tell the story. We don’t have to stop watching the story, as long as it doesn’t end up in our eyes, we can keep going. There is, however, a limit to how many people can use the bathroom.
